Holy Spirit covers all while the action of one is limited. Okay, you may
ask what I mean by this so let me explain. The good of the whole is much more
important that the wants of the one. I had a conversation with a good friend
about the church. We talked about those in the congregation doing church and
about being the church, actually let’s put it a different way, being the
gathering. There are times that we get so caught up in the politics of the
church that we forget about the importance of being ecclesia or the faithful gathering.
What was important when Christ was upon the earth?
“Then
the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my
Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the
creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat,
I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you
invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and
you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
“Then
the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you,
or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and
invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or
in prison and go to visit you?’
“The
King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of
these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matt 25:34-40 NIV
Go into all the nations and be the Word. There is no political agenda in
the Word, there is no divisiveness in the Word, there are no camps there is
only His command, Love God and love your neighbour. How do I love my neighbour?
Feed them, cloth them, give them drink, visit them, care for them and build
them up. Woe to those who seek to tear down the fellowship of God because that
is not what God has intended for His nation.
This week we delve into the importance of family and being there for each
other. There is more to life than personal agenda, seek out the agenda that is
in the Holy Scripture and live that life to the fullest.
Blessings all,
Pastor Todd
