The Perfect 7-day Diet – Peter’s Picks
‘Growing Up’
Day 1: Colossians
2:6, 7 – “And now, just as
you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let
your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your
faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with
thankfulness.”
Day 2: 2
Peter 3:18 – “Rather, you must
grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All glory
to him, both now and forever! Amen."
Day 3: Colossians 3:9, 10 – “Don’t lie to each other, for you have
stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. Put on your new
nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.”
Day 4: Romans 5:3, 4 – “We can rejoice, too, when we run into
problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And
endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our
confident hope of salvation.”
Day 5: Colossians 3:16 – “Let the message about
Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with
all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with
thankful hearts.”
Day 6: Ephesians 4:22-24 – “Throw off your old sinful nature and your
former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the
Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be
like God – truly righteous and holy."
Day 7: James
1:2-4 – “Dear brothers
and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an
opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your
endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is
fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.”
