The Perfect 7-day Diet – Peter’s Picks
‘What God Desires From Us’
Day 1: Acts 16:31 - Believe in Him – “They
replied, ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved - you and your
household.’”
Day 2: 2 Timothy 3:16, 17 - Get to know Him –
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting
and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly
equipped for every good work.”
Day 3: Hebrews 10:24, 25 - Gather for Him –
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,
not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but
encouraging one another - and all the more as you see the Day
approaching.”
Day 4: Philippians 2:14, 15 - Be thankful to Him –
“Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless
and pure...”
Day 5: Matthew 6:33 - Look to Him, not things –
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be
given to you as well.”
Day 6: 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 - Love like He does –
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not
proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily
angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but
rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes,
always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will
cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge,
it will pass away.”
Day 7: James 1:27 - Give yourself as He has –
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look
after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being
polluted by the world.”
