The Perfect 7-day Diet – Peter’s Picks
‘Grow in Him’
Day 1: 1 Timothy 4:15 – “Be diligent in these matters; give
yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.”
Day 2: Colossians 1:9-11 – “... We continually
ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and
understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the
Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in
the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his
glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience...”
Day 3: Philippians 1:9-11 – “And this is my
prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of
insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and
blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that
comes through Jesus Christ - to the glory and praise of God.”
Day 4: John 15:5 – “I am the vine; you are the
branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart
from me you can do nothing.”
Day 5: 1 Peter 2:1-3 – “Therefore, rid
yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every
kind. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may
grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.”
Day 6: Colossians 2:6, 7 – “So then, just as
you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted
and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and
overflowing with thankfulness.”
Day 7: Philippians 1:6 – “... being confident
of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion
until the day of Christ Jesus.”
