The Perfect 7-day Diet – Peter’s Picks
‘God of Equality’
Day 1: Malachi 2:10 – “Are we
not all children of the same Father? Are we not all created by the same God?
Then why do we betray each other, violating the covenant of our ancestors?”
Day 2: Philippians 2:3, 4 – “Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble,
thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own
interests, but take an interest in others, too.”
Day 3: Hebrews 12:14, 15 – “Work
at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who
are not holy will not see the Lord. Look after each other so that none of you
fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of
bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.”
Day 4: Acts 10:34, 35 – “Then
Peter replied, 'I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism. In every
nation he accepts those who fear him and do what is right.'”
Day 5: 1 Peter 1:17 – “And
remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites. He will
judge or reward you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear
of him during your time here as 'temporary residents.'”
Day 6: 1 Timothy 5:21 – “I
solemnly command you in the presence of God and Christ Jesus and the highest angels
to obey these instructions without taking sides or showing favoritism to
anyone.”
Day 7: Mark 12:31 – “The second is
equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is
greater than these.”
