Our Copper Coins

This week I was reminded of the widow woman who gave what she had, two copper coins in Luke 21:3-4. When God asks to work through us for His Kingdom, He already knows what we are capable of. He will see in us what we do not see in ourselves. He has called those who gather in His name to be His hands in the air, His heart in the community, and His boots on the ground. We are people with warts and scars, trying to figure out what He expects of us, and what He has for us. God relies not on your ability; He relies on your availability. When we love our Father, any task or responsibility we accept and labor in for His kingdom, will be blessed by Him. We may not be perfect at preaching, praying, leading worship, or have the greatest computer skills, yet He knows our heart. He alone, can stop Satan from planting seeds of doubt in our lives.

He furnishes His church with leaders, seekers, followers, the broken, the mended, the loved, and the unloved.  He provides us with His Word, to rely on as we do our best. Will we stumble? Yes. Will we get everything right? No. Yet, when we offer God what we have in our heart to further His kingdom, our copper coins mean more to Him than anything.
